Bits & Bobs

Hello all! Sorry I haven't posted in ages, I won't bore you with excuses, just been really busy.

I just thought I show you a couple of things I've picked up since the last time I blogged, it's not very much I'm afraid.

I decided that I wanted needed a grey eyeliner because I line my lower lash line quite a lot and I think black is just a little too harsh for every day. So I picked up Gosh's Velvet Touch eyeliner in "Hypnotic Grey." I've been using it on and off for over a month now, and I like it. It's supposed to be water proof, but it isn't really, or if it is then it isn't smudge proof. It is nice though. (swatched below)

I also wanted to try the mineral concealer from Maybelline (pictured on the first picture and swatched above) I actually don't know what shade I got, I think I took the label off. It's a light shade anyway. I like it, it's much better at concealing large areas than one of my Gosh concealers. I'm going to do a concealer overview soon, just talking about which ones I've tried and how I use them (I currently use three, they all have their own purpose I promise!) so keep an eye out for that if you're interested.

My skin has been super dry lately so I got the intense moisturiser from the Body Shop (The vitamin E range). I really like it, it's very rich, but doesn't leave my skin greasy, so I can wear it as a day cream on the days my skin is really bad, but I prefer to use it at night. It was a bit too expensive for my taste, considering you only get 50 ml, but I've had it for over a month and I still have about two-thirds left and I've been using it every night and sometimes in the mornings. So I would recommend it if you have super dry skin. I'm not overly fond of the smell, but it doesn't bother me too much.

The final thing I got is a blush from Mac. This was actually a Christmas present from my mum, well sort of. She got me a bag but told me I could exchange it, so I decided to get a blush. I stood in front of the blushes for ages wondering which one to get. I knew I didn't want a shimmery one, I thought about Well Dressed as I've heard so many good things about it, but to be honest it wasn't that pigmented and had a bit of shimmer. I really liked Coygirl and almost got it but both my friends and the MA suggested Fleur Power. The MA tried it on me and even though she put waaay too much on I got it, mainly because I already have a light pink blush from the Body Shop. So without further ado, meet Fleur Power.

I'm very happy with it, it's super pigmented so it'll last me a very long time, even though I wish it lasted longer on my skin. Oh well! I think that I might get Coygirl if I decide to get another blush.

Those are all the things I've collected over the past couple of months, I'm going to buy a new MSFN, the one I have isn't finished yet, but my skin is a little too light, I keep having to put bronzer on my neck. :( So I thought I'd get a new one in Medium Light and keep my Medium for when the sun decides to come out again. :)

Before I go I'm going to mention a couple of contests you might want to check out.
Charly is giving away Urban Decay's Hall of Fame. (ends February 28th)

Jean is celebrating a year on blogger and is giving one lucky person a Lancome palette, among other things.

Joanna is going to give someone some wonderful things from Lush and Mac. (ends April 10th)

So go check those out if you haven't already.

And happy Pancake Day! I absolutely love pancake day and I love to put sugar, orange and lemon on mine :) How about you, if you're from/in the UK, I don't think other countries celebrate it, but I could be wrong.

That's all for now, hope you're all well and haven't missed me too much (as if you even noticed! :)

Maybe not having time to blog is a good thing?

I noticed! In fact, a co-worker just returned from holiday in Iceland and it made me thing of you and your blog. :) Love the blush, good choice!

@ AVY: True, it can be a good thing, except in my case I was mostly busy with schoolwork. :)

@ Faith120604: Aww thanks for noticing! Your comment made me smile. :) Hope your co-worker had a good holiday here!
